Power and Water Corporation will begin major sewer line replacement work in Millner and Rapid Creek (NT).
The maintenance work will cause some lane closures and reduced speed limits on Bagot and Trower Roads. There will be no disruption to normal sewer function during the replacement works.
The replacement of the damaged sewer line is part of Power and Water Corporation’s ongoing infrastructure maintenance and upgrades program, General Manager Water Services, John Pudney said.
“The damage to the sewer line requires urgent repairs and the work that’s being undertaken is quite extensive.
“Unfortunately this means that there will be some disruption to traffic however access to driveways, side roads, bus stops and Rapid Creek Business Village will be maintained.
“The great outcome for residents of Millner and Rapid Creek means that whole sections of the sewer main will be brand new.
“We thank customers for their patience and we will endeavour to ensure any traffic disruption is kept to a minimum,” Mr Pudney said.
