Sydney Water has announced the names of the three consulting companies who have made the shortlist to become the water company’s new technology partner.

The shortlisted global technology consulting companies who have moved to the next stage of the procurement process are Wipro, Capgemini and Accenture.

Sydney Water Executive, Customer and Business Experience Platforms, Paul Freeman, said the expressions of interest were strong.

“We were very impressed by the response from the market after announcing our plans to find a new technology partner,” Mr Freeman said.

“The winning organisation will help design, build and run our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Billing and Relationship Management solutions.

“This is a once in a generation investment in technology for Sydney Water, that will deliver a customer focused, forward thinking, mobile and integrated business.”

Mr Freeman said there was a comprehensive assessment of the responses to the expression of interest.

“We are confident that our selection processes will result in a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between Sydney Water and our chosen partner,” Mr Freeman said.

“We will now participate in a competitive interactive dialogue and tender process with each of them, before announcing the winning tender.”
