Sydney Water is encouraging providers to apply to become official Sydney Water accredited service providers to assist in their delivery of water-related infrastructure and services.

First established in 1998, the Provider List outlines a list of contractors approved by Sydney Water. The list delivers value for money through market competition between accredited providers while also ensuring that assets are built safely and to Sydney Water’s high standards.

The list currently includes Major & Minor Constructors, Drillers, Designers; and Field Testers.

Opening the list will provide Sydney Water’s customers and the development industry with more choice and the best service delivery options.

Information on how to apply and application packages can be found on Sydney Water’s website. Those interested in becoming a listed Field Tester should contact the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) directly via www.nata.asn.au.
Following a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding with the NATA all Field Tester applications will be assessed by the NATA.

The NATA will apply Sydney Water’s standards and requirements to the accreditation process to ensure Sydney Water receives competent and accredited Field Testers for listing.

As well as being added to Sydney Water’s Providers List, applicants who are approved by the NATA will also receive accreditation from the NATA, potentially opening up further opportunities in their field of expertise.

All applications will undergo a rigorous assessment to ensure applicants meet Sydney Water’s quality assurance standards and are approved and registered with their relevant trade bodies.

Applications will close on Monday, 30 June 2014. For more information visit sydneywater.com.au.
