The WA State Government has announced a 4.5 per cent increase in residential electricity tariffs.
The increase in tariffs will take effect on 1 July 2015.
The State Budget released shows, on average, the Government subsidises the electricity costs of each household within the State by more than $303 a year, but the subsidy is higher for households in regional Western Australia due to the vastness of our service area.
