TasNetworks has appointed a new director to its board, who has more than 30 years experience in the sector.
TasNetworks Chairman Dr Dan Norton announced the appointment of Ms Joanne Doyle as the new director.
Dr Norton said the appointment of a second female director was a great step forward in terms of gender diversity.
“Diversity, especially at leadership levels, helps bring new ideas. It is also critical in developing a new corporate culture, which is nearly always required when organisations merge,” Dr Norton said.
“I welcome Ms Doyle to the board of TasNetworks where she will join the Audit and Compliance Committee.
“She brings considerable knowledge and experience having worked in this area of work for over 30 years.”
Ms Doyle is currently a partner of WLF Accounting and a trustee on the Solicitors’ Trust, having previously been a director of Civil Construction Services Corporation.
“I look forward to working with Ms Doyle as TasNetworks enters its third year of operations,” Dr Norton said.
