The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is seeking tenders for a dispute resolution adviser under the national electricity and gas rules.

The National Electricity Rules (NER) and National Gas Rules (NGR) each create an alternative dispute resolution framework for the non-litigious management of disputes between energy market participants and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).

The frameworks are administered by the dispute resolution adviser (Adviser).

Over an initial period of three years from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019 the contractor will be required to perform all the functions of the adviser specified in the National Electricity Law and Rules and National Gas Law and Rules (the national energy laws).

Submissions to tender close 3 May 2016.
