TransGrid (ACT) is currently seeking suitably qualified contractors for the installation of communication fibre in Canberra.
The works are inclusive of all works necessary for the design, supply, transport and construction including all civil and cabling works required in this specification. Any works required to ensure that the new infrastructure is serviceable to the satisfaction of the Principal shall also be deemed to be part of these works even if not explicitly noted.
All of the works shall be designed and constructed to comply with the Telecommunications Code of Practice, all relevant Australian Standards, the requirements of Australian Regulatory Authorities, other relevant standards and with this specification and drawings.
The Principal wishes to construct a minimum 96 core single mode optical fibre cable connecting the following locations:
- Lot 1559, Parkwood Road, Macgregor, ACT (Canberra Substation)
- 19 Battye Street, Bruce ACT
- 7-9 Braybrooke St, Bruce ACT
- 470 Northbourne Ave, Dickson ACT
- 50 Mort St, Braddon ACT
- 6 Pearce Avenue, Majura ACT
A mandatory site inspection will be held at Canberra substation (Lot 1559, Parkwood Road, Macgregor, and ACT) on 10 July 2014 commencing at 10:30AM.
