Queensland Urban Utilities has issued a tender for an incentivised services contract to deliver specific sewer maintenance services both for planned programs and for response to faults and emergencies for gravity sewers, associated infrastructure and rising mains. The services include sewer cleaning and unblocking, wet well cleaning, educting, CCTV inspection, advanced evaluation and condition reporting, and sewage tankering to prevent or contain sewerage system overflows.
QUU’s goal is to maintain uninterrupted reticulation and trunk sewer services while optimising the maintenance life of all sewerage system assets. To achieve this goal, QUU is reliant on the provision of a range of pro-active, planned maintenance and timely reactive emergency fault response for cleaning, CCTV inspection, condition reporting, and tankering services.
Respondents wishing to submit an Offer for this contract must have the capacity to deliver packages of planned maintenance activities and respond to faults and emergencies (responsive maintenance activities) within the standards required by QUU’s Customer Charter without disadvantaging the delivery of the planned work.
While QUU anticipates, and will welcome, technological innovations in service delivery within the period of this contract, it is critical that the successful Contractor operates and works in a fully integrated manner with QUU operations, management, and information technology systems.

The tender closes on Friday 11 Oct 2013 at 12:00 noon Brisbane time.
