Public Transport Authority (WA) is seeking tenders for four yearly maintenance of the substations, Traction Section Cabins (TSC) and 22 and 11 kV switchgear.

Works include unplanned maintenance/call out services and response to any breakdown on the PTA electrical HV network.

Public Transport Authority has seven single phase substations and 11 single phase Traction Section Cabins (TSC) known as traction power systems. The substations feed power to the overhead lines from Western Power. The TSCs are used for isolation purposes in the case of a fault. There are different asset types in the traction power system including 132kV switchgear, traction transformers, 25kV switchgear and protection relays. All of these assets need to be inspected and maintained regularly.

There is HV switchgear (22kV) at Roessvy substation and Nowergup depot, as well as 11kV switchgear at the Subiaco train station that need to be maintained.

Submissions to tender close 27 July 2016.
