Tonkin + Taylor Group has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Australia, in a move designed to enhance the company’s operations in the region.

Tim Chadwick brings more than three decades of expertise in environmental and geotechnical engineering across Asia Pacific. Mr Chadwick has been a cornerstone of the Tonkin + Taylor Group since the acquisition of the Chadwick Group businesses, founded by Mr Chadwick, in 2006.

His roles have included Managing Director of Chadwick Geotechnics and, more recently, Acting Chief Executive of Tonkin + Taylor Australia.

During his tenure, Mr Chadwick has played a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Tonkin + Taylor Group’s Australian operations, culminating in the recent strategic expansion of Chadwick Geotechnics and Tonkin + Taylor into Queensland.

The company said the expansion has not only broadened its national reach, but also strengthened the company’s leadership in consulting, specialist geotechnical testing and onsite monitoring.

Mr Chadwick said, “I am delighted to lead Tonkin + Taylor Group’s exceptional team in Australia.

“We’re already working on many of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects that showcase our unique blend of expertise in geotechnical and environmental services, alongside industry-leading pavement engineering and specialist laboratory testing.

“Looking forward, I am excited to build on our strong foundation in Australia to deliver even greater value for our clients. Together with our talented team, I am confident we can continue to grow our presence, take on increasingly complex and impactful projects, and cement our position as a leader in the environmental and engineering consulting industry providing exceptional value to our clients.”

Tonkin + Taylor Group Managing Director, Tim Fisher, said, “Tim’s leadership journey with us exemplifies dedication and vision. His deep understanding of our Australian operations and proven leadership abilities, combined with his motivational approach and strong commitment to the culture of the Tonkin + Taylor Group, make him the ideal person to drive the continued growth and success of our Australian businesses. This includes developing our Australian management team, as well as contributing to the leadership of our overall Group operations.”
