TPG’s fibre-to-the-basement (FttB) product is now back on sale, after new regulations imposed by the Federal Government in December 2014 caused the company to temporarily withdraw it.

The new carrier license condition for owners of superfast broadband networks, requires carriers to offer wholesale services on a non-discriminatory basis and to functionally separate their wholesale and retail businesses.

When the changes were announced, TPG stated that they had been given ‘insufficient time’ to comply with this requirement. The conditions are now met and TPG’s FttB rollout can resume.
