Transgrid has appointed two new executives, marking a step towards a more diverse base of experience for the company’s executive leadership group.
Anna Matysek has been appointed the Executive Manager of Strategy and Regulation, and Chris Pemberton was appointed the Executive Manager of Corporate Services as well as the CIO.
TransGrid CEO, Paul Italiano, said the company is delighted to have Ms Matysek and Mr Pemberton join the team.
“They bring skills and experience from different segments of the Australian corporate sector which will be invaluable as we continue our transformation from a state-owned corporation into a dynamic and innovative infrastructure player,” Mr Italiano said.
Ms Matysek is an experienced economist and has previously held senior roles with Rio Tinto in Business Development and Corporate Strategy, with a further background working in top economics consulting firms and the Productivity Commission.
“I’m happy to have joined TransGrid during a pivotal phase of the company’s development,” Ms Matysek said.
“The energy industry is going through a period of profound transformation, and network businesses such as TransGrid play a critical role in shaping that future.”
Mr Pemberton has previously held senior leadership roles in Corporate Services and Strategy at Downer and Qantas.
“Putting efficient support systems and processes in place to help a business achieve strategic outcomes on time and within budget while ensuring delivery of efficient services to customers is a critical role,” Mr Pemberton said.
“I look forward to bringing some fresh perspectives to the organisation, and relish the opportunity to work with the talented and knowledgeable team at TransGrid.”
