The Nudgee to Hendra Underground Network upgrade will soon begin in QLD with installation and maintenance of underground cables, issued by Energex.
The project involves replacing existing underground power cables that are reaching the end of their service life. The contractor, Dalys, will be installing new conduits (pipes) along the route in preparation for a new underground electricity network.
Trenching works will generally be undertaken within the paved road area. Full reinstatement will occur upon the completion of these works. This is one stage of a multi-phase project between Nudgee and Hendra Substations.
The location of work includes Woodville Street, Coronella Street, Gerler Road and Pring Street, Hendra.
The first stage works will start in early April and are expected to be completed in late May 2015. Second stage works will start late 2015.
