Visionstream Australia has been awarded a two year contract extension estimated at $90 million to its long-term engagement in the design and construction of fibre optic networks for new development estates across Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland.
Visionstream has successfully delivered the new developments program for NBN Co for the past two years and will continue the program, for another two years with an option of two one-year extensions.
The new developments work includes the design, construction and commissioning of pit, pipe and fibre optic cables within new estates across the three states including the Temporary Transit Fibre Network.
Visionstream General Manager for the NBN project, Allan Bradford said “We are delighted to continue our work with NBN Co for the new developments project. Collectively we are improving delivery and performance and look forward to setting the standard for fibre deployment in new developments, enabling NBN Co to meet Australia’s need for high speed broadband connections.”
“Visionstream has been a key player in connecting new estates to telecommunications networks for many years. The experience of Visionstream, the capability of its employees and the wider subcontractor workforce has been brought together with NBN Co and we are proud to continue delivering this important project.”
