Gippsland Water has successfully repaired a Regional Outfall System (ROS) pipeline in Rosedale following a leak which caused a significant treated wastewater spill.

Crews removed the leaking treated wastewater, isolated the leaking pipe and then replace the pipe with a new section.

While the work was successful, cleanup and remediation works continued around the site for several days following the incident.

The Environmental Protection Authority Victoria was also notified of the spill.
