City West Water’s General Manager Customers and Community is a newly appointed WaterAid Australia Ambassador for international not-for-profit, WaterAid, to continue her passion for helping communities in need.
WaterAid Australia is a member of WaterAid, an international not-for-profit organisation, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.
City West Water’s, Fran Duiker, said “I’m incredibly proud to be announced as a WaterAid Ambassador on World Toilet Day. Working at City West Water, I am very aware of how vital access to water and safe sanitation is for everyone in the world. It’s a human right.
“We provide safe and reliable water and sewerage services to one million customers in Melbourne’s west and CBD, but it’s staggering to think that across the world, these basic services are a luxury for many millions of people.”
Fran hopes to raise awareness about the work of WaterAid Australia both in the community and at a corporate level in the public and private sectors.
