Guy Chalkley has been appointed Chief Financial Officer by the Western Power Board of Directors.

Previously Head of Business Planning and Reporting, Chalkley has been acting in the role for three months since former CFO, Stewart Hart, moved to BGC Contracting.

Prior to his position at Western Power, Chalkley was the Director of Finance and Regulation at Veolia Water, UK’s largest water services company with a £239m turnover, achieving efficiencies in process and contract improvement.

He has 30 years experience in finance and accounting roles across the globe in commodities, transport, retail and utilities.

Chalkley brings a wealth of international financial and operational experience across a diverse range of sectors operating and residing in a number of continents including Asia, Africa, Europe and North and South America and Australia.

He is a Leadership WA 2013 Alumni, graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FACCA).

In the past four years at Western Power, Chalkley has assisted the business to deliver improved reporting processes with an emphasis on achieving greater visibility and identifying cost efficiencies.
