World class conference on show at Waste Expo Australia

Waste Expo Australia is the most comprehensive free-to-attend conference and exhibition for the waste management, resource recovery and wastewater sectors. This two-day conference and exhibition, held 23-24 October in Melbourne, will bring together more than 100 industry leading speakers and showcase over 120 leading suppliers that will provide waste management and wastewater solutions for councils, businesses, utilities, and facilities.

The two-day conference program at Waste Expo Australia will feature the Waste Summit Conference, brought to you by Oceania Clean Energy Solutions, and the Wastewater Summit Conference, brought to you by EnviroConcepts, which will cover seven targeted streams including resource recovery, waste-to-energy, collections, landfill and transfer stations, construction and demolition waste, commercial and industrial waste, as well as wastewater treatment.

In this program attendees will hear from:

  • Joyanne Manning, Principle Australasia Resource and Waste Management Leader, ARUP

  • Dr Stacey Hamilton, Senior Technical Advisor – Membrane Treatment, Water Corporation
  • Peter O’Brien, Senior Environmental Health Officer, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council

Plus case study presentations from other leading utilities, councils and leading suppliers.

Joyanne Manning, Principal, Australasia Resource and Waste Management Leader, ARUP will discuss Circular Economy in the Built Environment. Joyanne will present both domestic and international case studies that will illustrate the role the built environment can play in the development and implementation of a circular economy.

Alongside this comprehensive multi-stream conference will be the largest supplier showcase with over 120 brands including Method Recycling, Tech Collect, Telford Smith, Solar Bins, Enrich 360, STG Global, EnviroConcepts, Symbio Labs, Cleanaway, Source Separation Systems, Wormlovers, Ecycle Solutions, Recycle Pack, Eco Guardians who have product solutions that can improve your waste management and wastewater treatment processes.

Andrew Sieber, Group Manager – Liveable and Sustainable Futures, South East Water and Peter O’Brien, Senior Environmental Health Officer, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council will present on an innovative and collaborative approach to septic tank system management. This joint project initiative aims at improving the maintenance and performance of onsite wastewater system and the outcomes of this program along with is benefits will be discussed.

Waste Expo Australia Event Director, Cory McCarrick, recognised the importance of experts, not only in waste management but in business, coming together to discuss how best to overcome Australia’s challenges in waste disposal and wastewater treatment.

Another significant benefit of Waste Expo Australia is it’s co-location with All-Energy Australia, Energy Efficiency Expo and ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo, forming the nation’s most significant showcase for the waste, recycling, wastewater, renewable energy, energy efficiency and cleaning industries.

Energy Efficiency Expo 2019, held in partnership with the Energy Efficiency Council, is a new trade exhibition and conference that will provide businesses, government, industry and large scale venues and buildings access to practical solutions to combat the country’s rising energy costs.

With a theme of ‘Ensuring Australia’s Energy Future’, Energy Efficiency Expo will feature an exhibition showcasing the latest low-carbon and energy cost-reducing solutions from leading companies including  National Carbon Bank of Australia, Beovista, Fuseco, Omniflow, LightWork, Stiebel Eltron, Rexel Australia, MAC Energy Efficiency Group, T4E and Wattwatchers.

The event will also include a comprehensive conference program addressing important issues that are shaping Australia’s energy demand market. Expert speakers will discuss energy management fundamentals and strategies for businesses, manufacturers, commercial building owners and local government.
