The Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) has announced that three new documents related to the lining of water mains, are now available for public comment.
The documents include:
- Manual for selection and application of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and spray liners for use in water pipe
- Water Industry Standard for CIPPs used for the renovation of drinking water pipes
- Water Industry Standard for polymeric spray lining materials used for the renovation of drinking water pipes
The documents are the result of a Cooperative Research Centre and Water Industry funded collaborative project involving water utilities, universities, product suppliers and applicators.
The public consultation period is an opportunity to provide feedback on these new documents, and is open from 6 August 2021 until 3pm AEDT, 2 September 2021.
Comments are welcome by manufacturers, suppliers, designers, installers and asset owners, and can be made using the comments form and emailing linings@wsaa.asn.au by the closing date.
Once the public consultation period has concluded, the WSAA Project Team will consider the submissions received and amend the documents as deemed appropriate.
It is envisaged that the documents will be finalised and ready for publication by 30 September 2021. The documents will be published as eBooks only and will be available for purchase on the WSAA shop.
