The Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) has released The WSAA Strategy 2030, which outlines the association’s commitments, purpose and strategic priorities.

The Strategy 2030 was developed in consultation with WSAA members and staff over the last year and based around the WSAA’s purpose of connecting and leading the water sector to enable thriving communities.

WSAA’s Strategy 2030 outlines the new water sector commitments to equity, diversity and inclusion, as well as existing water sector commitments to health and safety, leadership and climate change.

It also includes the association’s purpose statement, the WSAA Way, and its five strategic priorities:

Water security – Achieve equitable access to safe and secure water and wastewater services

Customer value – Deliver long-term financially sustainable and affordable services to customers

Resilient and regenerative future – Embrace resilience through circular design, safeguarding the wellbeing of future generations in Australian cities and towns

First Nations – Reduce disparity of First Nations peoples access to services and increase engagement with First Nations peoples

People and capability – As a sector of choice, ensure the water industry’s people and organisations are ready now and for the future
