Yarra Valley Water has signed a new five-year partnership to deliver its Pipes and Facilities Program, which manages approximately $60 million worth of assets per year.

Yarra Valley Water will partner with Jaydo, Aqua Metro and MFJ Constructions with the aim to improve water, sewer, and recycled water infrastructure across the region.

Jaydo, Aqua Metro and MFJ will support Yarra Valley Water’s construction projects across its water, non-drinking water and sewer pipes and facilities capital program.

The initial term is for five years, with the possibility of extension for up to ten years.

Yarra Valley Water Growth Futures Acting General Manager, Phong Nguyen, welcomed Aqua Metro to their new role at Yarra Valley Water and extended an ongoing welcome to the Jaydo and MFJ teams.

“These new partnerships reflect our commitment to fostering deep relationships with our partners for the long-term benefit of our new Pipes and Facility program and ultimately our Customers,” Mr Nguyen said.

“Safe, clean water and reliable water systems are vital to Melbournians’ everyday lives. Through these partnerships, we’ll continue to deliver our essential services and leverage the expertise and experience they bring.

“By bringing our partners into the early design stages of projects, we can maximise their impact. That includes working alongside each other as one team, with dedicated workspaces in our office for partners that ensure people across the entire capital delivery chain are easily accessible.

“These partnerships will be focused on building strong relationships, openness and continual learning, leading to more delivery certainty and better outcomes for our customers, community and the environment.”

The agreement aligns with Yarra Valley Water’s 2030 Strategy, focused on operational efficiency to successfully deliver commitments made to customers in the 2023–28 pricing period.

CEO of Aqua Metro, Manish Pancholi, said “We’re really pleased to be selected for this long-term Collaborative Partnership. Aqua Metro is committed to building strong relationships with Yarra Valley Water, delivery partners, and all other engaged stakeholders, with a focus on leaving an enduring legacy for the program, customers, and the community.”

Jaydo Program Manager, Keith McGovern, said the company is excited to continue its ongoing successful partnership with Yarra Valley Water.

“We’re fully committed to helping Yarra Valley Water achieve its goal to provide exemplary water and sanitation services that contribute to the health and wellbeing of current and future generations.”

MFJ Constructions General Manager, Joe Mustica, also welcomed the partnership.

“We’re very proud to partner with Yarra Valley Water and we’re looking forward to working as ‘One Team’ to deliver shared customer outcomes. As a trusted partner, we will continue to bring innovation, efficiency and value through the delivery cycle,” Mr Mustica said.
