Zinfra General Manager of Power Services North, Kevin Moloney, is set to retire after four years in the role.
After a career in energy that spans more than 49 years, Mr Moloney will step down at the end of December 2024 to spend more time with his family.
Zinfra Managing Director, Peter Iancov, said Mr Moloney has achieved significant growth for the Queensland operation and was instrumental in the establishment of the Western Australian branch of the business.
“After four years, and a legendary career spanning more years than he wants to mention, the tough-but-talented General Manager of Zinfra Power Services North, Kevin Moloney, has decided to retire. Yes, the man who chose the rough-and-tumble contracting life over cushy corporate comforts of workshops, meetings and debates over lattes is hanging up his hard hat!” Mr Iancov said.
“Kevin’s earned this retirement, filled with travel, family time and catching up with friends. We suspect he’ll still manage to find something to ‘contract’ us on, but we wish him all the best as he trades project deadlines for holiday itineraries.”
Zinfra said that throughout his time with the business, Mr Moloney cultivated a culture of care, with a strong focus on the health and wellbeing of regional workers. Putting in place several partnerships, including with Mates in Energy and Nutrition Australia, Mr Moloney drove many health and wellbeing initiatives for blue-collar workers.
Zinfra Operations Manager, Chris Kelly, has been appointed as the new General Manager of Power Services North effective 6 January 2025. Mr Kelly has significant in-depth knowledge of the Queensland operations, having been a part of the team since 2012.
“Congratulations to Chris on his appointment to General Manager, I know he will be dedicated to building strong client partnerships while delivering services safely and efficiently just as Kevin was,” Mr Iancov said.
“I am excited to see the continued success of our teams under this new leadership structure.”
