Zinfra, Jaydo and WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff (ZJP) have teamed up under a consortium arrangement to deliver contracts for a Victorian water utility’s program panel.

The consortium arrangement ZJP can deliver contracts for South East Water’s Pipes and Structures Program panel.

ZJP now has the right to bid as one of a panel of two for design and construct packages involving larger diameter pipelines (pressure and deep gravity sewer), pump stations, reservoir and some treatment plant upgrades.

Their success builds on the collaborative approach taken with the client when delivering the Peninsula ECO Project for South East Water since November 2013.

The two year contract (with 2 x 1 year extensions) started on 5 October 2016 and gives the consortium access to individual projects valued from $500,000 to $10 million.

South East Water’s region covers inner south east Melbourne suburbs, the south east growth corridor beyond Dandenong, and the length of the Mornington Peninsula.

Two projects have already been awarded under the panel – CREPS (Cardinia Regional Employment Precinct) Sewer Pump Station and Rising Main, and the Boneo Sewer Treatment Plant Upgrade.

The Boneo upgrade is an interim requirement for the refurbishment of a clarifier and upgrade to the aerobic sludge digestion that interfaces with the existing electrical and SCADA systems.

Both projects commenced design at the start of November 2016 with completion due in late 2017.
