Downer is thrilled to be joining the Australian Water Association at the water sector’s signature national event, Ozwater’23.

This annual event brings together the best and brightest from across the industry to network and showcase the breadth of initiatives being delivered in support of safe and sustainable water management.

Ozwater has grown to become the biggest water conference in the southern hemisphere and Downer will once again have a major presence at the event. The Ozwater’23 theme ‘United by Water’ celebrates the vital role water plays in connecting us all and as Australia’s largest supplier of outsourced water services, it’s a fitting theme for Downer and its delivery partners.

Downer’s Head of Utilities, James Kafanelis, said Downer was a Platinum member of the Australian Water Association and had been supporting the industry’s flagship event for many years.

“We are proud to once again be throwing our support behind this important annual gathering of the industry and encourage all attendees to join us for a coffee at the Downer Delegate Lounge within the Ozwater’23 Exhibition Hall,” Mr Kafanelis said.

The Downer Delegate Lounge will be serving complimentary, barista-made coffee and hot drinks from 8.30am until 12.30pm each day of the conference. Meet the team and hear more about the award-winning innovations, major infrastructure programs and community shaping projects being delivered by Downer and its delivery partners.

Downer’s General Manager of Water Services, Chris Yeats, said Ozwater’23 would provide a key collaboration and learning opportunity for water leaders and like-minded water stakeholders.

“Ozwater’23 provides a real opportunity to unite the industry, build partnerships and share the knowledge that will help drive a sustainable water future.

“Great partnerships create even great results and this is demonstrated in the strong line up of presentations being delivered across the 3-day event. The presentation by our partners at Logan Water on the lessons learnt from commissioning Australia’s first biosolids gasification facility is not to be missed,” Mr Yeats said.

Ozwater’23 is held across 3-days from 10-12 May at the Sydney International Convention Centre. For more information and to register, click here: Ozwater’23.
