Membership to the Clean Energy Council has increased by 24 per cent in the past year in what the Council says is an indication of the energy industry’s rapid advancement.

Record growth in the Australian renewable energy industry has translated into an exceptional 12 months for the Clean Energy Council, with the membership base of the clean energy industry’s peak body growing by 24 per cent in the year to June 2018. This brings the Clean Energy Council’s total membership to 534 companies as of June 2018, up from 406 just a year earlier.=

The Clean Energy Council said that this increase in membership reflected the rapid growth of the clean energy industry, as local renewable energy companies ramp up project development, international players look to gain a foothold in the Australian market, and  businesses in the finance, legal and engineering sectors increase their presence in the renewable energy space.

Membership of the Clean Energy Council is open to companies from any industry that are looking to advocate for an effective policy and market framework for clean energy while promoting the industry and its achievements.
