Leslie Harrison Dam spillway, QLD is the current focus of Seqwater’s Dam Improvement Program.
The works, which will span approximately eight weeks, will involve drilling and excavation to help determine the scope and timing of the upgrade.
“Last year we lowered the water level of Leslie Harrison Dam by lifting all four gates to create a new temporary full supply level,” Mr Dennis said.
“During investigative works three of the four dam gates will be closed to ensure the safety of staff and contractors.
“The four spillway gates will be removed once the investigative work is complete, with the temporary full supply level to remain in place until the dam wall upgrade is complete.”
Mr Dennis said a design option was scheduled to be finalised by the end of 2015.
