Simply Energy has partnered with a smart meter and smart grid solutions company to provide smart metering services to more than 500,000 households across Australia

This partnership will be delivered through Landis+Gyr’s independent metering services subsidiary, intelliHUB.

Carly Wishart, CEO of Simply Energy said, “In appointing an independent metering services provider, we wanted a company that has a strong, Australian presence but also the ability to leverage innovative energy technology and experience from around the world. Backed by Landis+Gyr, intelliHUB offers exactly that.

“At Simply Energy, we are committed to providing efficient energy solutions to our customers. By working with intelliHUB, it will help enable us digitise our energy offering, ultimately giving our customers greater control over how and when they use energy.”Peter Birk, CEO of intelliHUB said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Simply Energy to deliver an innovative platform that is designed for the future. With intelliHUB, Simply Energy will be able to take advantage of emerging technologies such as consumer and grid analytics, and smart load control as customers demand greater control over their energy consumption.

“Smart meters provide the all-important ‘backbone’ for smart cities and all that is possible with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT).”
