The winner of the annual IXOM Water of Origin competition was announced at the Water Industry Operators Association of Australia’s (WIOA) QLD Water Industry Operations Conference and Exhibition in Logan, which took place 6-7 June 2018.
The winners of New South Wales and Queensland’s best tasting tap water competitions went head to head for the title, with Port Macquarie, NSW, winning the competition, defeating Toowoomba, QLD.
Queensland has won the last four IXOM Water of Origins in a row, while New South Wales made its way back to the finals after winning the first IXOM Water of Origin five years ago.
The IXOM Best Tasting Tap Water competition is a national competition run by WIOA to find the best tasting tap water in Australia.
